LAURENT ARBEIT

Chef of the Auberge St-Laurent at Sierentz

This 18th-century Post Office, with its long, flowery and pleasant façade, is a local family institution, authentic and elegant, popular with the faithful as well as with the many travellers from abroad who cross Europe.

At the stove, we find the chef Laurent Arbeit, who started at Haeberlin and Ducasse‘s house. As a true aubergist of modern times, he composes a harmonious and fine cuisine, with well-balanced flavours.

More than a partner, a true friendship has been created between the Maisons Massenez and the Auberge Saint Laurent for many years, whether with Marco, the father or Laurent, the son. “A history of friendship and quality products is what makes for two families of enthusiasts a solid bond of friendship.

PATRICK FRITZ

Chef of the Hotel Restaurant A l’Ami Fritz at Ottrot

In 1970, Jeanine & René took over this 18th century Alsatian Winstub, embellished it and gave it a new identity: a hotel-restaurant. 20 years later, Patrick Fritz, their son and his wife Sophie take over the reins of the house.

While Sophie takes care of the decoration of the hotel, Patrick turns his mother’s family kitchen into gastronomic Alsatian cuisine… a true ambassador and friend of the Maison Massenez since the beginning.
Symbol of this friendship, the famous “soufflé à la Vieille Prune Massenez” has been on the menu of this typical Alsatian restaurant for more than 40 years!

Gérard GOETZ

Chez Julien at Fouday

Julien’s place was a sort of like the second home of Gaby Massenez.
It was a place that he wanted his friends and best customers to discover, giving meaning to Gérard Goetz‘s expression: “Gaby brought the world to us at the Auberge! ».

Thus, a unique friendship and recognition bond was created between the Maison Massenez and the Goetz Family. A bond that continues with the new generation, represented by Hélène and Éléonore Goetz.

Roger Bouhassoun

La Cheneaudière at Colroy-La-Roche

La Cheneaudière and Massenez: if this place was also familiar to Gaby, where he liked to taste refined cuisine, it was during his many stays in Alsace that Bernard Baud was able to forge a bond of friendship with Chef Roger Bouhassoun.

The story of an atypical meeting between a Business Man and a Chef, both driven by the same passion for creation and Alsace, in a unique place! Each meeting is an opportunity to share and discuss new recipes, dishes, desserts, jams … highlighting both savoir-faire.

Marie & Maxime WUCHER

Restaurant Le Parc at Obernai

Between the Wucher family and the Massenez family, it is a transgenerational story of friendship and respect for decades. The previous generation had a very good relationship, for example, the Munster Flambé au Marc from Gewurztraminer Massenez has been on the restaurant menu for years and for the crunchy little anecdote, it was Mr. Wucher who came up with the idea for the Miss Massenez cocktail concentrates and was therefore the originator of a major innovation at the Massenez Distillery!

As for the current generation, represented by Marie & Maxime Wucher and Elodie Naslin & Bernard Baud, they maintain this beautiful relationship of friendship and trust on both a personal and professional level.

Two guests for a unique Maison… ” To please the other” seems to be their only ambition. For their entire team, benevolence is a must, the desire to please a single obsession!

Nicolas and Serge attend Massenez resurgence driven by Bernard and Elodie and show unfailing support.

Julien Binz & Sandrine Kauffer

Restaurant Julien Binz

Massenez and Julien Binz, it’s a story that began before we were even aware of it. Julien Binz first worked for Antoine Westermann at the Buerehiesel and then moved on to the kitchens of Marc Haeberlin at the Auberge de l’Ill… “two Maisons where the name Massenez resounded all day long”. Two Maisons, old friends and since long-time Massenez clients. Thus, as he likes to say: “They are Eaux-de-Vie that have accompanied my journey since the very beginning”.

Today, Massenez Eaux-de-Vie, Crèmes and Liqueurs are present on the menu of the Restaurant Julien Binz as well as in some sublime recipes based on “Massenez Treasures” such as Golden Eight® and Dom Pacello Royal Orange®!

The history was also written through the Chef’s wife, Sandrine Kauffer who has been present for more than 10 years at the sides of the Distillerie Massenez through communication notably with Elodie Naslin… She was one of the first to highlight Massenez during the launch of Miss Massenez and is still there today for the celebrations of the 150 years of the Distillerie… A true professional parallel thus between these two communicators who later became friends.

René Tourette

La Cloche à Fromage

The Cloche à Fromage and the Maison Massenez is the story of an encounter. A meeting between two enthusiasts, one of his cheeses, the other of his Eaux-de-Vie.

It is 32 years ago that René Tourette and Manou Massenez met. Manou had come to eat with her husband at the Cloche à Fromage shortly after the opening.

As the discussion progresses, they had the intuition that Massenez Eaux-de-Vie could harmoniously accompany the cheese and more… would make it possible to sublimate these exceptional cheeses.

This is how, little by little, a friendship developed with Manou Massenez creating a human relationship in addition to a business relationship that has been going on for 32 years now!

Paciello vs Pacello: a story of great men!

Nicolas Paciello, after several experiences as Pastry Chef, notably for the hotel La Réserve with Jérôme Banctel and the Prince de Galles, alongside Stéphanie Le Quellec, with whom he won the 2nd star in the Michelin guide for the restaurant La Scène, joined the position of Pastry Chef at the Barrière Hotel Le Fouquet’s Paris in 2019!
